The “Flower” Candle Holder

For our Exhibition at Bar Amore in Copenhagen, we wanted to work around the topic of love (amore in Italian) and, what is more universally loved than flowers?

From Asia, to Europe to the Americas, all across cultures, from archaic times to edgy futurism, flowers will always be a reason to smile and will soften our hearts. Seeing them in prints, patterns, textiles, furniture, video art, collage, sculpture, pottery…. The list is endless.

This collection of adapted "Feather" Fixtures were reflecting on flowers as a symbol of love. Wild flowers collected from the garden and offered to one's mother, a bouquet of flowers offered to our romantic interest, dried flowers at the porch of a house wanting to encapsulate their beauty in time (a symbol of age and memory for us)... This creative process has informed our own perception on the "Feather" Collection and comes to show others how Kilzi can rethink and create from its own references but also sourcing inspiration from specific environments and themes.
